Scott had attempted to tell me on 3 different occasions, several weeks apart, about this horrific revelation from his childhood. The third time was when I finally took the time to listen to him, and heard things that made my skin crawl.
Of course, I really wasn’t sure how much of this was true, vs. how much was a delusion or part of his mental illness. And from what I was learning through my research, it was looking like a strong case could be made for either one. Or maybe even both.
The main thing for me at this point, was to try to grasp what Scott was telling me. To try to understand why he would even say such things, and to figure out where it was coming from.
Miracle Soap
Among her many oils, remedies and natural products, one of my mother in law’s favorites was from a company called Miracle II. She had the Miracle Soap, the Miracle Gel, the Miracle laundy ball…the whole line. She bought it by the case load…which I know because we used the many empty boxes for one of our moves.
You could wash your clothes in the soap, take baths in the soap, and you could use the gel as sunscreen and for diaper rash. If I recall correctly, you could even eat it. She had given me huge bottles of the gel and soap to use on Jasmyne. The story was that the inventor of this product had a vision from God, and was given the Divinely inspired recipe that included “eloptic energy”, and it was indeed a miracle. From the website:
According to Clayton Tedeton, Miracle IIs' creator, "Miracle II is a miraculous, supernatural product that contains Spiritual and Eloptic Energy beyond measure. A God Inspired Product".
While I wasn’t sure about the Divinely inspired part, and had no idea what “eloptic energy” was, it was free, so I took it. And…it worked! No more diaper rash.
We never ate any, though.
One day, I got it into my head, for whatever reason, to look more into this Miracle II product. Something about it, raised a question in my mind, that I wasn’t quite sure how to articulate. I sat it by my computer to remind myself to Google it. It sat there for several days, before I finally had a chance to plug it into the search.
